Recurring problems deserve context
When the same drain, fixture, or water-pressure issue keeps returning, collect a short history: when it began, what has already been tried, how frequently it happens, and whether other parts of the home are affected. This helps a provider decide whether a targeted repair, camera work, or another diagnostic step is worth discussing.
Remodel and purchase questions
For planned work, ask what the inspection can and cannot verify, what information is needed from the project plan, and which decisions should be made before walls or finishes are opened. For a home purchase, understand whether the inspection is a general evaluation or a specific test of a suspected condition.
Leave with a usable scope
- What was observed and what remains unknown?
- Which option is recommended first, and why?
- What future work could be affected by the decision?
